We are delighted to announce the launch of our third Story Trail, at Millennium Park, as part of the REAL in the Park event at the Jersey Festival of Words on Saturday 28 September 2025.
This exciting new trail will initially feature Superworm, the much-loved children’s book by Julia Donaldson, illustrated by Axel Scheffler. Families will be able to follow the story page by page on permanent display boards installed along the park pathway, combining outdoor activity with the joy of reading together.
As part of the Festival, illustrator Axel Scheffler is hosting a workshop.
The Story Trail initiative is designed to inspire children to engage with books while enjoying the outdoors. Each trail features a new book every few weeks, ensuring families always have something fresh and engaging to experience.
This latest installation is generously supported by The Bosdet Foundation, whose commitment to community and education has made the project possible. Baker and Partners have also sponsored 100 books which have been given to children in nearby nurseries.
Every Child Our Future has collaborated with Infrastructure and Environment to make this initiative possible in Howard Davis, Millbrook and now Millennium Park.

The Story Trail series has already proved hugely popular with families at Howard Davis and Millbrook parks. This third installation continues Every Child Our Future’s mission to foster literacy, family interaction, and a lifelong love of reading.
