Every Child Our Future is a registered Jersey charity that supports and promotes reading, and the enjoyment of reading leading to a life-long love of literature and learning.
This role is for a reliable person who is dedicated to the ethos of ECOF and has the skills and dispositions to promote this work with our youngest, Nursery children.
The Champion will work with individual children each week in their Nursery setting talking about the texts, pictures, knowledge of the stories, preferences, life-associations etc. and taking the child’s engagement beyond that of a passive listener. As the weeks progress the
child/children will become increasingly active and independent in their engagement with books and stories.
All resources and training will be provided.
The successful candidate will need to be able to drive between settings
